Euston rail disruption continued on Friday after damage to overhead electric wires affected services on the West Coast Main Line.
Passengers travelling to and from London Euston faced delays and cancellations, with train operators running a reduced timetable.
The damage affected overhead line equipment between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes, causing disruption on one of the country’s busiest rail corridors.
Network Rail said repairs were continuing on Friday, with an amended timetable expected to remain in place until the end of the day.
Services operated by Avanti West Coast and London Northwestern Railway were among those affected, with fewer trains running between London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.
Avanti West Coast passengers travelling between London Euston and Birmingham New Street, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly and Glasgow Central were affected by the disruption.
London Northwestern Railway services between London Euston, Milton Keynes Central and Birmingham New Street were also disrupted.
Network Rail said the damage to overhead powerlines was complex and engineers were working to fix the issue.

Gary Walsh, Network Rail’s West Coast South route director, apologised to passengers affected by the disruption and said teams were working with train operators to provide an amended timetable.
He said a reduced number of trains was needed while repairs were carried out and normal service restored.
At London Euston, passengers faced uncertainty as departure boards showed changes to services throughout the day.

Overhead electric wires are used to supply power to trains and repairs can require specialist equipment, safety checks and access to the track.
The incident again highlighted how disruption on the West Coast Main Line can quickly affect journeys well beyond London.
