Nikaes Patel has thanked people for their messages of support following the collision
Nikaes Patel, the N98 bus driver seriously injured in the fatal Honeypot Lane crash, is recovering well, according to a colleague who knows him.
Mr Patel, who is based at Metroline’s Edgware garage, was injured when the double-decker was involved in a collision on Honeypot Lane on August 31.
A 25-year-old man died following the crash, while Mr Patel was taken to hospital with injuries which police initially described as life-changing.
A colleague who knows the driver said he is recovering well and wanted to thank everyone who has sent messages of support and well wishes since the collision.
The Metropolitan Police previously said three men, aged 25, 26 and 51, were arrested following the collision.
Transport for London said after the crash that it was working with the bus operator to support Mr Patel and assisting police with their investigation.
The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation.
